From New York City to the rest of the United States - we had to update the Adonis platform to support the weight of 800,000 national fitness professionals. That meant migrating our Location filter from the neighborhood selection tool to an actual map and our Price Point from general city-specific ranges to an intuitive slider. Let's chat quickly about how these features work and how trainers can maximize their search results with them.

1) Map-Based Location Filtering
As mentioned, expanding to the entire USA meant expanding our location capabilities. Now, you can select your training zones with immense precision (within a city block) or broad scale (100 miles). The client will select a map radius in which they're willing to train - it might be just their home, their office, their neighborhood, or their overall city. Adonis then shows them Trainers whose own Location overlaps with the selected area. As they move their location in their filters, their trainers will update accordingly.
Multiple Locations
As a way to mitigate some city-specific headaches, we've enabled trainers to define multiple locations they're willing to train. Using NYC as an example, you may live in New Jersey and commute to Union Square to train clients. You'd accept clients by your home or by your Union Square clients, but likely nowhere else in between. Hopefully this makes sense and helps you better acquire clients.

2) Price Point Slider Filter
We have also updated from the Yelp model of one to four dollar signs to a Google Flights style slider of what you're willing to pay and accept per session. As a huge believer in variable pricing, Adonis will never show prices on trainer profiles (I think it's tacky and disadvantages the trainer). But! To enhance the quality of negotiations with your prospective clients, we ask each side the same question differently:
-What is the MAXIMUM you're willing to pay per session? (clients)
-What is the MINIMUM you're willing to accept per session? (trainers)
Adonis shows clients any professionals that meet or fall below the number they select - but we don't share what the other has selected to either side. This promotes reasonable searching and establishes a fair ground for negotiating.
Trainers know they Price Point they selected is the floor, but they also know the client could have selected a much higher rate they're willing to pay. Conversely, Clients know they won't have to pay more than what they chose, but don't know how much less the trainer is willing to accept. Everybody has secured their safety amount, and the bartering can begin.

You'll also note we've rolled out a Session Type Filter (In-Person and/or Virtual). We remain entirely committed to the in-person training industry, but why not enable Gertrude from Topeka, Kansas to put some extra jangle in a trainer's pocket from around the country? No sweat off our back - read more about that here!
